The visual transformation begins with pearl white paint and blue accents, new Rays alloy wheels; rally-style mud flaps; a new body kit; and a carbon-fiber rear wing, hood, and decklid. A combination of Alcantara, leather, and mildew-repelling WeatherTek were employed inside, with the goal of providing warm seating surfaces while keeping out any melting snow from occupants who spent the day snowboarding or skiing. Power from the Hyundai 1.6-liter turbo-four engine is up from 201 hp and 195 lb-ft of torque to 232 hp and 240 lb-ft, thanks to a new turbo kit, a new exhaust, a nitrous-oxide system, and a variety of other engine modifications. The extra performance is matched by new suspension components, larger brakes, and a strut-tower brace from ARK Performance. Other modifications include a quick-release steering wheel, a Yakima snowboard rack, and front and rear tow hooks. At this year's SEMA show, Hyundai will also show a 400-hp Veloster Turbo, a Cosworth-tuned Genesis Coupe, and another Genesis Coupe modified by ARK Performance.
